Developed by Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, Far From Home is accurately described as a “VR Experience” instead of a full-on video game adaptation of the upcoming Marvel film. That said, it offers a bit more substance than the studio’s previous Homecoming companion. We will take you to every detail of this game.
The Spider-Man: Far From Home Virtual Reality Experience picks up with Peter relaxing in his room, before being called by Ned who hastily tells him to put on his suit and go swinging around New York to finish up some errands.
Surprisingly, the swinging felt cool and novel for the length of the experience. Aiming the Move Controllers, pulling the triggers, and flicking the wrist to point, shoot, and pull me forward towards a building was a great experience.

Rezzil’s virtual reality (VR) simulation platform for training
professional football players have been used by clubs around the world for
several years now.
Today, that expertise is available at home with the launch of Rezzil Player 21 on Steam and Viveport.
It’s made by Rezzil, a British developer who counts former Belgium and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as an investor.
Rezzil’s professional tools are currently used by clubs like Paris Gt. Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool FC. The tools include training and analysis software, including a virtual training program set that helps players learn and repeat specific skills.
This includes heading practice, rondo drills and shooting tests, both to help them sharpen their abilities and to help coaches identify a player’s weaknesses.
This is a beautiful game in its purest form. Take your place on the pitch and score as many goals as you can in heat 30, 60 or 90-second rounds.
Be fast but be precise and slam those top bins in. Fancy a more casual session? No problem switch to the endless mode for a fun crossbar challenge or just play at your own pace.
The feeling of having your feet be a fully active part of VR now is something that took a few minutes to get used to, mainly because It’s tough at first to time things properly like you would in real life. Here though, because the tracking isn’t the most precise thing in the world you’ll need to occasionally glance downward to make sure your feet are properly positioned.
As Rezzil Player 21 is a football simulator you can’t simply slip on any old PC VR-compatible headset to play. The software requires at least one Vive Tracker although Rezzil does advise two to get the full experience.

Rezzil itself is planning to support the platform with updates and DLC in the future, too. A new game mode will be added soon, and there will be expansion packs for the existing content, too.
Rezzil Player 21 brings the world’s most popular sport to VR for the first time for zero cost. The mechanics are surprisingly well-realized despite utilizing the somewhat glitchy foot tracking systems that VR provides right now.
The physics are excellent and if you really strike a ball truly, you will see that thing rocket off your foot just like you would in real life. There are tons of unlockable cleats and balls to keep pushing towards a new goal each time you play.
While there aren’t many modes available, the Early Access model alone shows that there is a ton to come from this game and the developers having the backing of actual soccer players and coaches means this will get the support it needs to become something special.
The Climb 2 on Oculus Quest 2 is Crytek’s second pass at bringing solo climbing to virtual reality, and it’s a doozy. The first game focused on natural features located in a mostly static environment, but the sequel introduces cityscapes and livens up the experience with interactive animals and other distractions, surprises, or delights.
During one particularly surprising moment, I found myself face to face with a rattlesnake, which promptly bit me, causing me to lose my grip and fall to my virtual death. That calm from being so far up, and so far away from other people and the distractions of modern life, combined with the sweat-inducing fear of falling, creates an appealing escape if you have the stomach for it.
The new game has zip lines, sliding grips, ropes you dangle over, ledges and even some city map to grapple through. I've only just started, but my mountain experiences were already more varied than the original's maps.
With new gameplay features come new environments to explore. There are five main locations which each have three areas to climb for a total of 15 levels. Each location has several checkpoints to head toward.
Figuring out the best way there is part of the puzzle. The feeling of being high up is surprisingly effective, losing my grip and falling still freaks me out a bit.
I never really thought that The Climb was a game that needed a sequel. Crytek set out to make a game about climbing mountains in VR and they achieved that. Thankfully, I was wrong.
The first game was originally released on Oculus Rift for PC VR way back before the Touch controllers were even out, using just a gamepad and triggers buttons at first, but has since been adapted for motion controllers (obviously) and was even ported to Quest.
Now the sequel, the aptly named The Climb 2, is out exclusively for the standalone Quest platform. And it really excels at iterating and expanding on what made the previous game so compelling.

Thanks to improvements to its controls and level design, The Climb 2 is a significant step up from Crytek’s original swing at a VR climbing simulator. It may be short, but it doesn’t keep you waiting to get to the action.
And while it doesn’t innovate enough to feel like a whole new game, it refines its predecessor’s enjoyable but generally unintuitive climbing into something much more approachable and slick, making it a great game for VR beginners. At its best, The Climb 2 exhilarates as it carries you well above the clouds. It is one of the best VR experiences.
