Oculus Quest 2 VR headset

Oculus Quest 2 All in one VR headset!

Information

Oculus Quest 2 is one of the most affordable and advanced VR glasses for gamers out there. It's compatible with both Android and PC games, and Oculus Quest 2 also comes with it's own huge library of fun and exciting VR entertainment when you buy the head set. This stand-alone headset is much lighter than the predecessor that gives you more comfort, and feels like it almost isn't there after you start playing. You can roam around free in your home while you play, or hook it up to your computer with a USB cable for long gaming sessions.

Games and Features – The Quest content library online is quite impressive. Here you will find a wide variety of games and VR experiences that you can enjoy for free when you buy the headset. Games like Jurassic World, Star Wars, Warhammer, and Medal of Honor are great VR experiences you don't want to miss out on. The headset has a high resolution screen 1920 by 1832 pixels per eye and runs on a 72Hz frequency. This allows smoother transactions in the games then what you were used to a couple of years ago.

Graphics and Processor – The Oculus Quest 2 headset runs on an amazing Snapdragon 865 from Qualcomm. The experience is smooth and can handle most of the more advanced VR games out there. This is impressive when it comes to the fact that this headset is almost 3x cheaper than competing brands with the same specifications. This version also have upgraded RAM with 6GB installed instead of 4GB from its predecessor. This gives you a much smoother experience if you were disappointed in the first release of Oculus Quest.

Hardware and components- Oculus Quest 2 comes with a headband that suits most players. But for those who like to move around more and don't want to experience chafing, you can upgrade it to the Elite Strap for only $49 dollars. Oculus provides a huge game selection on their own, and everything is ready to plug in when you buy. But to enjoy the full spectrum of VR games available out there, you might want to consider upgrading the link Cable for a better PC and Steam experience. Oculus's own upgraded link cable costs $79, but you can find cheaper and compatible cables in computer stores as well.

Extras and prices– The headset is fully functional without extras, but to get the most out of your head set, there are a few things you might consider adding on. The headset alone only costs $299, so it's unreasonable to think that it will suit the most advanced VR games out there for this price. The biggest problem for players out there who don't want to sit in front of the computer all the time, or use they're phone to play, will be the batteries. In a gaming session, the battery included will last around 2 hours. But, this can be easily replaced with the Elite headband that gives you twice the battery capacity, and only costs $129 extra. Also, you might want to invest in the $79 Oculus Link Cable as its' very durable and has a good length. This cable ensures you get the best experience with all the games in Oculus large VR library. So the total cost would be $507 dollars with all extras included. This is still not more than $100 more than what the previous headset cost.

Conclusion– You might think that Oculus is lowballing the price to make you buy a lot of extras for the VR headset to function properly, but this really isn't the case. The headset is well equipped for most users, so we would suggest trying the head set first to see if it fits your needs. If not, still you're at a pretty good price compared to most competitors out the even with all the addons for the optimal experience. If it's a kid or teenager using the headset, you also need to keep in mind the weight of the headset to avoid sore and stiff necks. Oculus Quest 2 only weighs around 17 ounces and won't bother a player even over long periods of playtime.

All in all, a great value for the price.
